Beginning April 1st, 2019, ProtoCAM is committing to maintaining ISO 9001:2015 regulations in pursuance of certification. Though we have previously exercised compliance with ISO regulations, our commitment to providing superior service and products has led us to pursue certification.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an international standard-setting body composed of representatives from various national standards organizations. The ISO 9001:2015 program specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

ProtoCAM has implemented changes to procedures, created a revised quality manual, and standardized all operations in order to comply with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Company-wide training has included workshop walkthroughs and streamlining, departmental training, and ensuring each employee has read and is committed to maintaining all procedures in our new quality manual. As part of our reinforced compliance and pursuance of certification, Ryan Schmidt will serve as our Quality Manager, while Leslie Schmidt serves as Quality Administrator.

As ProtoCAM continues to offer its exceptional services producing prototypes and parts and further expands its capabilities to include higher production volume options, certification with ISO 9001:2015 helps to ensure part quality and prompt production for all our customers, and additionally allows us to learn and implement internal changes to better serve our customers. After following the registration and auditing procedure required by ISO, ProtoCAM expects to be fully certified in the ISO 9001:2015 program by September 2019, with full compliance effective immediately.
