This past weekend, we headed out of the office to see the IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park for our annual ProtoCAM picnic! It was a beautiful day for a ballgame featuring the Lehigh Valley IronPigs vs the Worcester Red Sox. All the ProtoCAM attendees showed their team spirit! Orsen, son of Kyle Lilley, one of our additive manufacturing technicians, threw out a first pitch! Mascots FeRROUS and FeFe were on hand at the PenTeleData Party Porch above third base, of course, to add a bit more fun, and everyone got to participate in the “Pig in a Poke” raffle.

Highlights of the game included the highly anticipated Meat Race, featuring mascots Diggity, Chris P. Bacon, Hambone, Barb-B-Q, and Ribbie; though it was a close race, Barb-B-Q was the champion! Back in the main game, the IronPigs held a strong lead at the start, though the WooSox looked like they might make a comeback with a run scored in the fourth inning. In the end, IronPigs starting pitcher Tyler Alexander helped lead the team to a 5-1 win over the WooSox, winning the series and claiming their third series win of the season!
