Atlantic Design & Manufacturing features opportunities to connect with more than 9,000 engineers and executives, as well as hundreds of leading suppliers, across the advanced design and manufacturing spectrum. The latest advancements and design solutions across the industry will be featured, with a focus on two industry mega-trends: 3D printing and smart manufacturing.

Steve “Woz” Wozniak, Co-Founder of Apple and Chief Scientist at Primary Data, will present as the keynote speaker. Other speakers will present on a number of topics within the 3D printing and smart manufacturing fields, from the applications of bioprinting, to robot collaboration, to choosing your ideal 3D printable material.

This conference will feature such highlights as the world’s first 3D-printed electric vehicle – The Strati –courtesy of Local Motors. Producing it took just 44 hours of additive manufacturing, 10 hours of subtractive milling, and assembly of less than 50 parts. There will also be an opportunity for collaboration in small teams to build a fully functional 3D-printed prosthetic hand, which will be customized to specific recipients and will be donated to children in need through the e-NABLE movement. Another team-oriented activity offered by the conference is the opportunity to build a battle-ready robot with a goal to challenge other teams in competition for a grand prize.
