At ProtoCAM, we’re always striving to promote continuous improvement within all areas of our facility as part of our commitment to maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification. This continuous improvement includes regular review of our finishing abilities, and investigating how we can better innovate and add new machinery that contributes to better replication of parts and faster production in the pursuit of automation of our capabilities. Now, we’re ensuring the consistency of the finish on our Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) parts by introducing the DyeMansion Powershot S.

Where previously, our MJF finishing process involved hand-blasting and other more time-consuming processes, we’re utilizing this innovative DyeMansion finishing technology to automate and improve the surface finish of our MJF parts. This process ensures smoothness across all geometries without removing integral material. Parts finished in the Powershot S are as close to identical as possible because of the automated nature of the technology.

We also previously added a Powershot C to our lineup of finishing machines, which assists in de-powdering our MJF parts. Each of these DyeMansion machines brings us one step closer to full automation of our finishing services. Automation translates to expedited parts in hand for our customers, and more consistent, near-identical parts where duplication is required.
